Was the alpha that died also abusive? Because that could explains he’s automatically giving up to survive mentality.
I think he wasn’t like that, but what I understood he liked to keep the MC inside home. So he didn’t have a lot of social interactions. He said he stopped having friends since he got married.
And I think the MC is that submissive because he doesn’t want the new ML to scare or hit his baby. All the novel is him walking on eggshells and not making the gangster angry. The gangster is always threatening him.
What is wrong with this MC? Follow anyone outside? The Dynamic with the ML is kinda making me uncomfortable, like a constant fear of having him get angry that’s mental torture, but I don’t know if it’s the pacing of the story by it makes no sense MC accepted this treatment so quickly instead of immediately looking for a way to get out for his kid?? Also ML if he keeps fucking with using the kid imma personally get in the story and cut your intestines out.
