This was one of my comfort webtoons in the first 2-3 years but the rashta hate is so misplaced when she’s really the only one that keeps it interesting imo, as well as the fact that none of this is her fault. One thing I will say though is that I really can’t get that one scene out of my head when I think about her, which is the one where she sucks on a grape in front of a bunch of noblemen. Any time I hear her name and think about it, I imagine someone spreading their butt and flicking the hemorrhoids in front of a bunch of fancy white guys while they salivate over it. It’s been such a long time that my memory of that scene has been consumed by ass.
Also, I absolutely did not care for Heinrey. Sovieshu was a pretty straight forward, obvious sack of shit because he was so unaware of his entitlement but Heinrey is just two faced. I never got the appeal, but maybe it’s because I don’t like puppy-dog guys. This is also not a dig on the artist, but I find nobody attractive but princess circe and the red haired dragon guy.
Navier can be a bit too “perfect” at times, like someone that absolutely cannot do any wrong in anyone’seyes, and I don’t really like her writing because there’s very little significant character development seen in the manhwa. But I do enjoy that calmness, expression of emotions, and maturity she has, only because it reminds me of someone I’m close to. Otherwise, she’s not exactly my favorite character in the webtoon. Honestly, I just wanna see the webtoon version of the side stories, and I wanna see Navier and Rashta getting along in an alternate universe. It broke my heart when it was shown that Rashta got a painting of Navier as a gift with how she adored and looked up to Navier. It’s sad that kind of admiration was ruined because of a man stepping into the picture, then everyone decides to overly hate and shift the flaming on the underage slave girl because it’s easier even though Sovieshu’s wrongdoings were pretty obvious, most of it directly or indirectly contributing to Rashta’s issues and mentality.
