For a story where looks are brought up so often you'd think they'd make it more of a point in the art.
The main lead isn't particularly attractive, but the main character isn't unattractive either. It doesn't help that most of the scenes (especially around the start of the story) never actually show the MC's face super well, they're always just exaggerated reactions or expressions. And I understand that those over exaggerated expressions are typically the point where you can purposely make the characters look ugly but in a story where it's such a revisited point you'd think that the character themselves would actually be ugly.
And I love this art style but let's be real it's not the type that does anything for the characters, like it's a beautiful style but it gives all the characters that ting of unattractivnes, and in a story where the ML is meant to be one of the attractive characters it doesn't really get that point across in the art. (And I get that they're in highschool and no one looks amazing in highschool) But this is fiction, and it's fiction based around looks and attractiveness.
Does anyone find the whole ugly MC thing annoying when they're not actually ugly? I'd love to hear people's opinions on this part of the story as most of the comments are not regarding this but rather other parts of the plot
