Depends on ur dedication brudah. U can study consistently for 3 months, but once u stop and forget it all ur back to square one

Consistency is key like how u learn english from school

Depends on your dedication, the difficulty of the language, and what your definition of mastery is. For me, I’ve been learning mandarin with a tutor for a few months and I can say like alot of sentences but not hold an actual conversation. Thats because I’m not super dedicated lmao

reading, writing, understanding around 8months to a year but speakings gonna take really long especially if you dont speak in that particular language to others and/or are not surrounded by people who speak the language

Yess I also haven’t learn their alphabet, just how to say some words. And yes getting surrounded by native speakers is super important!! That way you can check your understanding by eavesdropping on their convos lmao, I do that with my mom sometimes when shes on the phone
