To explain why Shuraka didn't recognize Tei:
First, he had no interest in anyone other than Tei, so he didn't pay attention to who was fighting or what was happening, and he had his eyes closed due to his madness.
Second, he couldn't even imagine that Tei would be there...
Since Tei said he wouldn't come, he was thinking, "My wife must be resting, right? I just want to finish this crap quickly and go to my wife."
Yeah, that does make a lot of sense. Shuraka has no interest in anyone that isn’t Tei and he had no clue that Tei would be there, let alone be participating in the Atura
This chapter was so beautiful. I can’t wait for them to finally take one another in their loving embrace. I’m still shocked that Shuraka didn’t recognize Tei until he removed his helmet but once he did he couldn’t help but tremble. The thought that he unknowingly ordered them to kill Tei was just too much to bear. I’m so happy his wish was to spend the night with Shuraka because I was so nervous he would ask Shuraka to procreate with a woman so he’d have an heir
