My ideal type is someone who loves cats. Not dogs—cats. The reason I make that distinction is because when people are asked whether they prefer cats or dogs, many choose dogs because dogs are affectionate and openly return their love. They often say they don't like cats because cats are aloof, independent, or don't always show affection. That has always made me think. We're taught to be kind to others including animals. So when someone dislikes cats because they don't give affection in the way dogs do, I can't help but wonder: are they being kind only when they receive kindness and love in return? What I genuinely admire people who love cats is that they choose to care for an animal that may not constantly seek their attention or shower them with affection. To me, that kind of love feels less transactional. It feels like caring for another living being simply because you value them, not because of what they can give you back. Also where i am from we got many stray dogs and cats, the people who 'loves' dogs buys a dog from a shelter and raise them but the people who own cats, they didn't choose to adopt them but choose to raise them when they found them in vulnerable conditions. I find such people charming and lovely
