i just read the novel and let me tell yall- Ilay is fucking possessive, not just the typical ‘youre mine’ troupe but he deadass threatened to mutilate Tays leg so that he couldn’t run away anymore and he also showed signs of cannibalism so that if he ate Tay, they would become one He went batshit CRAZY. He even forced Tay to say “yours” after stuffing his mouth with his black gloves. Reading those chapters was such a crazy ride oh my goddd
