As I read the chapter again, apparently any flower can be used to be floated in the chalice. Which is why there are a lot of flowers, which Tei can choose from. He chose the rose, out of all the many flowers in front of him, which for me, can symbolize that he is also willing to give his heart to Shuraka (as this the meaning of rose in the language of flowers in Arnata and Tei is already aware of that). He is kindaaaaa lowkey telling his feelings to Shuraka is the same passionate deep love Shuraka has for him. Such a nice little detail actually
