I love love LOVE him for thinking of Owen first and foremost but yeah. My thoughts were exactly like yours. Those families never found out what happened to their precious loved one and Locke took bonded omegas. He stole the bond and life of so many and the ones who died weren’t the only victims. Their alphas were also victims. They deserve to know what happened to their bond and what happened to their loved ones. The living victims deserve that much. I’m very disappointed with the route the author chose for this.
Something like this happen irl all the because powerful men will look bad and they need to cover up and pull strings so poor peasants like us don't get angry at them for their 'fun' so is it too much to ask for just punishment on these inhumane monsters in function when it doesn't happening in real world??

I don't like these kind of solutions. Nick was all "Owen this, Owen that" but what about the other victims? The ones who couldn't escape? The ones who spent their last moments in complete agony? Now that Nick covered up everything they will be completely erased. Their relatives, lovers, bonded mates, maybe children will never find out what happened to them. Noone will pay for the torture they had to go through. Don't tell me the lunatic paid for it, he didn't. He dropped dead in a couple of minutes. He should have been arrested, judged and faced the public rage he deserved. I hate when authors bring up so many victims and drops them like garbage.
