re-reading this after a year and the change in opinion over angel is crazy wtf. i completely understand people being upset with him for flirting with josh’s ex because hello, him and josh have been together for a year at that point wtf are you doing flirting with other men while tipsy??? thats so fucking disgusting, idk why the author added that in. but having a problem with anything else is so weird. josh and angel did not get together until the very end when josh made that big confession on the street. they weren’t even fuck buddies or friends with benefits while they were having sex, because they never once sat down to even have a conversation - all they did was have sex, they weren’t even friends. it’s ridiculous to see people complaining about angel having sex with ryan or messaging that other girl and going on a date and kissing that other girl - he was SINGLE HELLO???? he was literally moving on from a non-existent relationship too bc neither of them had the balls to sit down and actually have a conversation. not to mention, josh has always had an avoidant personality from the start. to angel, every time josh blew him off bc of work, obviously he didn’t think it was just because of work. they were literally in josh’s office every single day and josh couldnt even take 20 seconds out of his day just to be like “so im swamped with work right now but i’d like to take this relationship further and after this case, i’d like for us to go out for dinner and sit down and talk about us”. could angel have said something too? absolutely. but time and time again, josh’s internal monologue put angel down and only saw angel as some sex addict so would josh even have taken him seriously in the first place? every time they had sex too, it was angel initiating it bc josh cant do anything. angel even took a step further by giving josh his lunch, and even cooking for josh/restocking his fridge. like it’s very obvious angel was ready to take things further, but josh was just too occupied with work. being blown off time and time again with no reason or explanation obviously made angel think josh was uninterested. all these comments slut shaming angel makes no fucking sense - he was a single man, if he wanted to go have an orgy with the entire office, he absolutely can. nothing was stopping josh from that either, hello???
