it was cute but the stakes were a little too low to be extremely interesting. the highlights were definitely tsukina and ill’s relationship, so i kinda wish it was more slow burn.
like others have said, world-building is really weak and the fact that the only openly hostile nation consists of dark-skinned people with middle eastern influences leaves a really icky feeling. shame bc exploring the relationship between saviors and the world is interesting— i really liked the conflict shift from saviors seeing the world as their plaything to the world seeing the saviors as tools. oh well
