That's cuz they translated to english from the Japanese version... and the Japanese were weird and changed all names for Japanese ones instead of keeping the original Korean ones... and honestly it weirds me how they keep the honorifics when translating to english even tho they don't do it for other languages and those honorifics ain't used in english... it gives that... weibo vibe...
Honestly I agree with you. The manager is annoying. But I don't think is the persistence or even she being more of a fan than a manager... is the way she is portrayed that annoys me. Just like I think her clothes are inappropriately sexy (for a work environment) I also beliece her expressions and behaviors are exagerated. I can understand the excitement of working with someone you've been a fan of... but the way she is dawn and portrayed makes her look like a weird obsessive stalker. And yeah... all this together makes her annoying as hell... not to mention how childish she acts sometimes... I hate when authors need to use a female character being a weirdo pervert to try to show how "amazing and popular" their main character is. It's even worse how they use her for fanservice. What kind of manager would go meet the streamer in a sheer shirt with a tube top and miniskirt? I'm all for letting women dress however they want but these are separate matters. The syory would have been even better if they portrayed her as a normal woman instead. They exagerated and made her unlikeable instead.
You hit the point. At chap 50+, I gave up reading. The world-building is a meh unless they include foreigners or other countries in the plot. As for the manager, I guess men like it so the rating on other sites are high. Although, even if the manager turns into a man, I still wouldn't like her. With that behavior? Nah bruh.
I do agree about foreigners and the world building...
As for the manager... that's the point... if they turned into a man that behavior would've seen as being creepy... they exagerated her "fan" behavior and made her seem like one of those obsessed creeps that end up stalking idols and celebrities. If they dressed her properly and toned down that creep behavior (the blushing, panting and acting like a perv) I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's overlooked but I think it's important for mc's to have people of both genders as friends or close associates in stories. But there's this horrible tendency to have only prople of the opposite gender surrounding mc's... and the ones of same gender are either elders, antagonists or subordinates... and that makes me think said mcs can't keep healthy relationships with people they consider their "equals"... and it kinda weirds me out...
But yeah... the manager is trsh compared to his previous life companions... and this "weird" admiration makes me think she isn't a good companion nor party member... her behavior is too abnormal...

This manhwa has 9.6 rating in asura and extremely low rating here. I've read until the latest chap and all I could say is:
All names are in Japanese except for NPCs, maybe the whole world means japan as usual. I didn't bother understanding the plot. Whenever that manager came, I get annoyed by how persistent she is. Although the mc doesn't give a shit, it's still annoying how she keeps panting, blushing or whatsoever.
