honestly i feel so happy rn w the way nagi’s development is going? literally all i have been saying when it comes to him is that he doesn’t play football for himself, and his reasoning of being to be the best with reo was only hindering him from truly reaching his full potential.
this is all i have ever wanted, for him to become independent and HE’S DOING IT. this is first time i’ve actually seen someone commit to living for themselves and following their own ideals in a manga where teamwork is also so crucial and i absolutely love it. especially after such a horrid statement like ‘football is only fun when it’s with you.’ i feel like he’s levelling up as a character.
tbh i always felt like nagi was just always that type of person? the type to want to explore and find ways to develop himself moreso when he entered bllk despite his more laid back personality, but bcs all he knew was reo before when it came to football, it led to him centring his love for football around him and not the actual sport. seeing when nagi chose to be on isagi’s team over reo’s but then come back to him in a way that expresses that they ‘need’ to be with eachother to play afterwards explains my whole thought process. but now he doesn’t view reo as the central figure as to why he plays football yk?
i feel like when he thinks back to establish his motivations for playing now, his experiences in bllk override his prior ones established with reo and thats why he is FINALLY being able to take the next step and develop. and like i said, all i have EVER wanted when it comes to nagi.
i am curious as to how reo will react to this new nagi. i don’t think he’ll have a super crazy reaction again and instead he’ll be increasingly more accepting and perhaps even proud of nagi for making this change bcs i think they’re both moving away from the realm of NEEDING eachother to play and developing as individuals which immediately makes them more likeable as characters to me. eyuckk reo praise what is happening to me? i think pigs are starting to fly LOL
i am alsooo really liking this double parallel w/ nagi and bllk as they are both discovering new ways to think about football and their other principles rather than relying on just ego’s ideology in order to progress. very nice.
having no bad words to say which is crazy other than isagi u loser stop taking accountability for rin’s bummy actions. i understand where he’s coming from but no. i honestly feel crazy that the only person w what i think is an appropriate was shidou LOL.
