WAIT WAIT! Do you mean chapter 7 when thr MC has a nightmare due to his self-loathing wherein the ML asks him 'Don't you have any shame?' Because other than that and saying he was shamelessly hit on by guys 2 chapters ago, the ML never ever says anything like that to the MC after his confession or actually, even before it! I'm not defending the ML's homophobia because he does call the guys who hit on him shameless, but even before the MC confesses to him or after, he never insults the MC like that. In fact, during the confession scene the ML says he doesn't want to hurt the MC and readily accepts the MC's request to forget his confession and continue as friends. The only harsh thing he says to him after is why he decide to risk the friendship they had by confessing, but honestly, that's not something unique to just homophobic thinking, even heteroxual people say that if one of their friends confesses to them and they don't feel that way. Aside from those 2 instances where the ML uses the word 'shame(less)', the ML never says anything like that to the MC.
Omg I must've misunderstood then. I didnt realize that it was a nightmare. The website i used to read the novel had a few errors in the translation so it was a bit hard to follow at times. Ty for the clarification
No problem! I was genuinely thinking that I was reading a different novel because the ML seemed like a pretty good LI to the MC all things considered and actually continued to be a good friend to him even after the confession so I couldn't figure out why everybody was so mad about his supposed actions in the novel. I think the improperly formatted translation probably added to the confusion because I've reread the novel again and I think of the ML as firmly green flag. Not flawless but trying to be better for the MC and constantly reaching out to him.
