From what I can remember when the son that met Vlad reported his existence to The Father, the man said “It was well worth spreading his seed around.” Or something to that like. So most likely he did not care if it took or not but if it did he would collect the child if it showed any worth in his eyes. I suppose Vlad is the only illegitimate child to show any ability to invest in. At least that’s what I got from the interactions from that family.

Is anyone else anticipating Vlad by his lord’s side with his teachers (because eventually he needs to back home with the man who believed in him) when confronting his Father and Brothers (on the battlefield of course). Then people just doing a double take and just looking at Vlad then at the Father and brothers repeatedly with the expression of disbelief and Vlad just being like “Nope, no relation! Have no idea who the older guy and other guy is, but that one’s a dick, who screwed with my head during a Dragon Hunt”
