At least maybe it'll save the story if they made a background as to why all of them were so hostile to a woman in the king's chambers like maybe, the king almost died or harassed when he was young by a woman, thus creating a traumatic event for everyone, but none whatsoever. Everyone just suddenly showed a very awful side to themselves all of a sudden.
