That's kinda bad explanation luce is not stupid he is bind by protecting two only members of his family his sister and mother , his sister wedding proposed by ail decision he helped his sister into high noble family despite their low status, he had to put up so his sister could get married peacefully on thd other hand his mother is not being protected by only man she thought loved her but he only used her as flower just to show that he occupied her , luce knows ail is young and also getting married to girl there is fine line luce was clear that he doesn't want to end up like his mother he waited for long ail affection to dry out yet he didn't till he made sure thay he "won't get married" luce had no choice but to be with luce at the end for his sister and mother he can't run away and think of his happiness alone since ail is king and can harm anyone to reach out luce ... No that doesn’t explain. In the novel the uke actually used the word “Love” and thought they love each other when they meet again after the escape. After going through so much shit if he uses the term love to describe his feelings than it is Stockholm syndrome.

For him it would be love but in reality he had no choice.... He love seme but obsessed with seme same way as he is in novel uke also said that if you get married ti someone else "I will kill you then I will kill myself" at the end they both are same but in beginning uke had no choice but listen to seme for the sake his family... Later on they both developed obsession...
