Is it just me? I feel like he doesn't reaaaaally love Valery or whatever his name is. This is just the result of being raped, isolated, shit and stuffs. IN FACT I think its similar to Stockholm Syndrome where the victim develops an emotional attachment to the perpetrator or abuser, and it functions as a coping mechanism for what they've gone through. I don't believe what they have is love. Just my personal opinion but Valery didn't have any character development, he is still the obsessive ol' Valery. He didn't have any character development but instead changed the way his attitude or the way he acted towards Asil. And Asil, with his father and one of his siblings gone, sister "betraying" him but still forgave her, brother who's studying on an island — felt alone. That's why the only person who he could turn up to atp was the one showing him love obsessively — and that's Valery.

Look, even in the side story he felt alone when he moved and slept at his own residence. He even went to Valery's room at night because he felt more accompanied there ..

Anyways this is just my opinion I just wanted to say this because I look crazy talking to myself at 1 am in the morning here
