I totally agree! In the story everyone keeps saying, "Oooooh, why are you so attached to the human?" including the human himself, but I think I missed the part where marrying him implied anything other than a political move to hog his spoils.
I think the author is assuming we picked up on some kind of feelings or character growth of which we've seen none of haha. They've only had sex - they've barely had a conversation about their lives. Give me the white haired guy 100%
I swear, I hate it when they give us a 2nd ml who's the much better option, treats the mc well and is just as hot, only for the endgame to be the rapist piece of shit. Sure, he's cunning and isn't pure, but he's objectively the better choice in every way
