Hands down the best subtle, mature romance ever. Honestly, the romance acts more like a subplot because the story focuses heavily on the challenges faced by the residents of Lucky Mansion and how they navigate them. It deserves a psychological tag with how deeply it delves into the characters' thoughts and perspectives on life and beautifully showing the ruin, restoration, and blossoming of their relationships.
But don’t get me wrong, it’s not all serious. It's such a quirky, fun read. The main characters have incredibly diverse personalities, and they never run out of shenanigans. Whenever they're together, chaos absolutely ensues.
As for the romance, we only get a little sprinkling of it in S1, but S2 and 3 deliver full-on, diabetes-inducing sweetness. The pacing is just right, featuring one of the cutest, most chaotic, yet most mature couples you'll ever encounter. You’ll know exactly what I mean once you read it.
If I had to point out one minor gripe, it’s the ending. It doesn’t exactly feel rushed, but the story definitely could've expanded more on the backstory and development of the remaining two characters who never quite opened up to the readers. Still, even without that, it’s an absolute 10/10. Highly recommended!
