i loved this SO MUCH but i'm so unsatisfied too cuz i felt like if there was at least 1 proper chapter where we get to see their lives in modern day japan, it'd tie everything up so perfectly well. i think this manga did very well in story-telling from ranmaru's perspective + taking into consideration //some// social contexts of that era (obviously a lot was omitted or else we wouldn't have gotten this story in the first place)
