it's really not that bad

the comments are very harsh on this story, I have read many works within this genre that are similar and compared to all the trashy ones I've read, this is one of the better ones so it shocks me a bit to see such negativity,

for example the father himself, unlike most other fathers in this genre, actually reflected on his actions and character, Independently, without the assistance of the female lead, it's also made very clear from the beginning that he's a weird guy, like socially weird, he's not even tyrannical, the only examples of any tyrant attitude would be his neglect (which is obviously inexcusable) and the murder of his brother (which is so understandable considering what an asshole his brother was) if anything the man isn't enough of a tyrant to even be called one, plus his behavior in the beginning of the story along with his attitude towards fl was acknowledged way faster than I expected, I also really didn't expect the guy to be the one to try and form a relationship between them, even the female lead realizes he's not a typical guy

anyways my only problem with the story is how little we know about fl's motives/goals, she seems to be aiming for survival only and has no real plans beyond helping her brother become emperor, her personality is also a bit annoying at times, she has an adult mindset but acts like a toddler and it gets annoying when her childishness shows because you know she's capable of behaving maturely,

I'm mostly just interested in her previous life, I really want to know if the story is going to bring up that black haired guy who killed her and explain why, also I'm not interested at all in the potential of any romance here but it looks like she's interested in that jiwon kid which I don't like because he's literally a little kid and it's super weird so I'm really hoping that doesn't go anywhere
