Yuri didn't view Xinlu in a romantic way at 13 years old. He just thought that the kid looked beautiful underwater that's all. Yuri was forced to admit that if there was any first love he had , it was that moment when he found Xinlu beautiful. Bro why would one even think of 13 yrs old that much (especially in that situation when someone's asking u about first love shi?) if it was that pure it might not be sexual but still it's weird and Xinlu being uncomfortable about it is also valid imo
Because Yuri never found anyone so ethereal looking than Xinlu and ofc Yuri never thought that was his first love moment. He even denied it later because Xinlu was a kid. Xinlu was pressuring Yuri to remind about his first love , Yuri never had any ... After thinking very much Yuri thought about this moment. It was an under pressure statement

I have read the novel and Xinlu was pressuring Yuri too much and even fingered him down there abruptly without Yuri's consent to know what and how Yuri's first love was and looked like. Yuri is a soft person who didn't become angry after that too , I'd have stopped talking to Xinlu after that incident. Well , I like them bothe too but still XinLu shouldn't have done that
"Yuri deserves so much better" What about Xinlu deserves to be not viewed as a first love at 13 by 25 yrs old man . They are equal. I'm not gonna side with anyone www
