It's exhausting expecting a good read and then running into rape scenes over and over again. I highly disagree with the idea that it adds depth or realism to a story, no matter the genre. It's a deliberate writing choice, and a lot of the time it feels unnecessary. Because, if the point was simply to establish that it happened, it could've been handled more briefly instead of being described in detail
(Not trying to be a hypocrite 'cause almost every yaoi that I read has it but it gets to a point and I wanna vent )
