The author had a chapter where a horribly drawn black student was bullying students and as punishment the Korea teacher called the student a very harmful racist slur that is used towards Africans/African Americans

They changed a couple things too. But crazy they still got a deal considering the backlash it got.

Makes sense tho Koreans are known to be colorist so even if there was initial drama with it, all is well since black people are the ones offended

Im not trying to justify their actions, I do think the slur was just not right at all. I just want to know why are people so adamant about the bully being drawn ugly, many male bullies were ugly in the manwha no? Im confused as to why that is on focus only now

For a long time many old (and unfortunately new) art depict African/African Americans as ugly monstrous creatures as propaganda and hatred towards that specific demographic. I mean nobody wants their race to be drawn as ugly and hideous when that race in fact have beautiful and kind people. It’s extremely harmful and misleading especially when it’s presented to someone who’s never seen a black person in real life, so that person would just assume and become ignorant
