Here’s what I understood from reading this multiple times. The point of Kihoon’s bad luck is that it affects EVERYONE and EVERYTHING he cares about. It has been shown multiple times. He cares about soccer, he gets into an accident and injures his knees. He cared, loved, cherished Yeon, he dies. His bad luck literally is like a magnet or a disease.

Two things I'm a bit confused about kihoons bad luck is that shouldnt it have affected his parents too considering that he probably cares for his them but there's no mention of anything happening to them. I'm guessing that it's probably just an oversight by the author. Secondly, I'm confused about why did he have to give up soccer for yeon? Isn't him liking soccer and liking yeon 2 seperate things . How would him sticking to soccer have affected yeon?
