Ibelin says if he didn't notice what's in front of him (her sickness) then he never cared in the first place, so there's no need to tell him, which turned out to be right.
Can you imagine? The maids, his younger brother, and his highness, the prince, noticed she was sick and ML didn't. He only cared about himself.
