I lwk hated this but ngl I gotta give some points to this bl so hear me out because modern bls are severely lacking in real characterization
Not saying these are amazingly deep and complex characters but they have some depth than most manhwa characters these days
if you get past the forced relationship and the pig old man, this easily becomes a really unique read from a typical yaoi.
THE MC IS NOT INFANTILIZED I personally love how the mc was written. Selfless and yet prideful, loving and absolutely doting towards his mother but overlooks the other guy simply because he isn't important to him. I lwk like how hes a capable man and not some petit baby faced bottom
I LOVE HIS MOTHER AS A CHARACTER, shes not used as like some way to make you pity the mc (it was more like the other way around) and shes not some flat minor character either. The whole time I was reading I gen just felt bad for her for what was going on with her bf and son. Lwk I do kinda half-blame the son for stringing on the other guy which lead to the ending.
But really its the UGLY old man alpha male and a manipulative maniac that ruined everything 100% his fault. Hate the author for making this into goon thing. Id have loved it if it was made more into a serious realistic sa story.
