*off topic* People sometimes choose not to have curtains for lifestyle reasons , aesthetic, or bringing in natural sunlight and outdoor views.......tho i don't think this method is always safe for everyone, especially those in city or urban areas (close width homes/apartments) where more people reside, maybe you can get away with it in the suburbs, country/ rural sides tho...............,..., in this care scenario-- he should have definitely put a curtain on even if he thought no one lives there, you can never know what could be watching.
I understand that but for safety reasons if he can get a curtain he should at least get a window blinds
