im only on chapter 66 but am I the only one uncomfy by how involved the kids are in serious stuff? lmao, like Wilbert I get, he's trying to grow up fast and all but still, are we not trying to keep their innocence? When they were getting ready to leave it almost felt like Wilbert was babying Elsha which is not a good look lol?? Like why's he taking and storing away the letter her dad sent, I hope he didn't read it, who knows what that guy wrote!
Even now, why are they present to talk about her families crimes? Even Hugh? He's like 4!! I get the themes of family meant to be present here but there is a child's place in it all
