Calculus (tartar) can smell bad because it traps bacteria on the teeth and around the gums. The bacteria can cause bad breath and can cause the first stage of gum disease, called gingivitis. If this is not treated early, it can develop into periodontitis, which can cause loss of gum tissue and bone around the teeth.

As for tonsil stones, they are common and not harmful. They form when saliva, small food, dead cells, and bacteria get trapped in the small holes of the tonsils and get hard over time. Tonsil stones smells so bad that it can cause bad breath .

Try to feel your teeth if it’s sticky thats plaque and its full of bacteria. Then this bacteria feed from the sugar that you eat and it causes tooth decay

I'm very familiar with the perio breath smell and it's why I suck spit instead of clean teeth XD One of my least favorite smells, close to cleaning the cement out of an old crown, and cucumber melon
I only brush & floss teeth I want to keep [all of them]( ̄へ ̄)
