ML needed way more progress about learning to not be so pushy and communicating about his insecurities, MC needed way more progress about learning to identify his feelings and communicating them clearly, and childhood friend lowkey not even savable after threatening to rape his best friend but if we completely took that out of the story he still needed way more progress about literally everything. Idk why the author made someone assault him at his own bday party either it was so messed up… Things needed to be more fleshed out so we could at least try understand where each of the characters were coming from and also see them learn from their mistakes, but it was so rushed all of the characters just felt like headless chickens running around. Like why did the MC just believe the ML when he said he doesn’t think about his dead ex anymore? Why and when did the ML start liking MC for who he is? How and why did the previous issues get resolved? Why did the best friend suddenly get over him? So many unanswered questions made the writing so frustrating
