am I the only one who finds it odd when people call sa victims ‘birds’? like I saw someone on tt call yoon bum from killing stalking a bird, dude wtf are you talking about?

    I had no idea that was a thing, but that’s… somewhat uncomfortable, considering there’s a history to that word.
    It was used in, I believe, the 1960’s onwards for a while, and calling someone “bird” typically meant you were calling them an “attractive, young woman”.
    People today would consider it anywhere between somewhat sexist to blatantly objectifying, because it conjures up the image of a kept pet (a caged bird).
