    It is not a coincidence actually. I believe iirc that its a korean connotation for angst, kinda like how in american slang being 'salty' is a connotation for being upset. But i only heard that fact from word of mouth and i dont remember where i heard it so take it with a grain of salt haha

    That makes sense honestly and it could also mean the hardship and bitterness too. Because all those 3 manhwa that used this term has MC who has unrequited love, in a complex relationship with their partner and kinda has a broken upbringing too. Damn all 3 of them are the same lol. #-.-)
