Honestly, lowkey just stayed for the yuri lmao. Idk it just felt like Carsen was more in love with the og!Maythan since he met him prior to the transmigration, unlike the other two who only encountered and fell for our MC’s version of Maythan. The constant panels of him remembering child Maythan (which is valid ofc, since og!Maythan might’ve felt like salvation for him) doesn’t help in that case lol. I actually thought they’d delve into that further by maybe having Jinsoo confront Carsen if he truly likes him for him or only because of Maythan. Anyway, I think author-nim might’ve been trying to address that with the rationale of Maythan and Jinsoo having the same soul, but it’s just still not satisfying enough imo. On that note, I really prefer Cedric out of all the MLs—the only green flag who believed and respected Jinsoo from the start till the end… Tbh, Kael had great chemistry and potential too, but it’s obvious that his route was doomed from the start since the narrative clearly favored Carsen lol.

the yuri is soooooooo good. yeah i had mixed feelings. like i love the series bc we don’t have enough isekai villains but it really did feel like he was more in love with og!maythan and i get it bc he was significant in changing the trajectory of carsen’s life but like post transmigration (if i remember correctly, it’s been a year) maythan keeps pushing him away and they (isekai!maythan and carsen) never really bond or have significant moments where carsen falls all over for new maythan? and then it gets brushed under the rug with a big hand sweep of the souls were the same

i was hoping for more for my beautiful wolf not in terms of romance or anything just more scenes on the side stories but like i get there’s limited chapters with side stories but sighs wistfully
