The teacher pisses me off so bad. There is no way he didn't see the signs of Young-ho getting bullied BUT HE TURNED A BLIND EYE ON IT AND NOW IT'S EASY TO PLACE THE BLAME ON HEECHAN AND NOT INVESTIGATE MORE.THEY DIDN'T GET PUNISHED ENOUGH, THEY ONLY GOT SUSPENSION WHICH THEY COULD'VE ENJOYED THE DAYS WHEN THEY DONT HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL.
ADDITIONALLY, HE SHOULDN'T TALK LIKE THAT TO STUDENTS. YOU KNOW IT ADDS TO THEIR LEARNED HELPLESSNESS, FUCKING IDIOT, SHOULDN'T BE A TEACHER. HE SHOULD BE THE ONE TO GUIDE AND MOTIVATE THEM TO DO WELL AND BE A BETTER PERSON. ARGHH THERE'S NO HEALTHY ADULT IN THEIR TEENS.
Anyway, this is so beautiful, omg can't believe I put this off for about 3 years. It started a little boring, but also not? So many things that are happening but there is no tension or drama, it feels like your average story from your neighbor. It doesn't exaggerate the scenes, you get to feel what they feel in the moment but also feel helpless, like a bystander, because despite feeling sympathetic, all you could do is listen to their story being told.
The bittersweet realism is what makes this so good. Usually, I'd say that there are conflicts left unresolved. We didn't get to see his dad, what made him make those movies. There's just a lot of stuffs going on, but it's alright that everything's not going alright. Bad things just happen to people and the only option left is to move forward. Nobody deserves the pain they had to endure and will have to endure but there are things outside our control, and that's alright, we don't know a lot of things, we nake mistakes, we unintentionally hurt others. But hey, life continues. I hope our mcs get to have that mundane and simple life together. I feel completely satisfied with this ending, and in my head, they grew old together in a nursing home, telling stories to each other about their youth.
