Synchro is such a masterpiece that sometimes I genuinely wish the creator had made it into a completely separate series instead of keeping it as a side story.
And just to be clear, I'm not saying Sketch is bad! I actually gave the main story a try before and read a few chapters, but it just didn't hook me at the time, so I eventually dropped it.
Then I stumbled across Synchro, and the difference was insane. It grabbed my attention almost immediately and had me completely invested. The characters, the chemistry, the emotional tension, and the overall storytelling just worked so well for me.
Honestly, Synchro ended up overshadowing the main story to such an extent that I found myself getting obsessed with the side story despite having dropped the original series (That's not something that happens often) Most side stories feel like bonus content, but Synchro felt like a story that could easily stand on its own as a full series.
I actually felt a little bad saying that because it almost sounds like I'm dismissing Sketch, which isn't my intention at all! So while waiting for new Synchro chapters to come out, I decided to give the main story another shot. Ironically, the reason I went back to read Sketch wasn't because of Sketch itself...it was because Synchro got me so invested that I wanted more from that universe!
That's probably the biggest compliment I can give Synchro. It was so good that it made me return to a series I had previously dropped.
