I noticed that after reading chapter 14, I noticed that When toono was being assaulted by a classmate from volume 1 Toono starts thinking to himself and says "what should I do?" And starts to say "Ka-" before being cut off. (English version is different but in Japanese version and audio drama he says the same thing) I realize that when it comes to Kashima, he usually keeps his feelings hidden like when he told Yacchan that he considered him as a friend but "maybe" Kashima like even though he knows and hangs out with him that he doesn't really see him as one. (Even though during that chapter, he speaks as if he knows him very well and usuallyis always with him) but with Yacchan, his feelings are straightforward.(Always calling him cute) I also noticed that that Kashima literally has no other romantic interests to fall back on if Toono where to pick his rival. While although Yacchan rejected Tamura, (As Toono rejected Kashima) he states that he will never give up. And going off both characters theme songs, I think we see where this is going.
