Good series, slightly confusing ages

this was a really really good read, but sometimes the ages of characters kinda confused me… like did the duke Sys meet his older bodyguards (the gray hair and brown hair) when he was still young?? And idk if I misinterpreted, but the three got intimate?? Maybe Im wrong, but that was off putting…
