One cape is all it took for her to throw her smarts out of the window?? I really don't get her writing... One thing she's a scheming badass, then a crying kid, then a gullible idiot-- like girl you already lived through a life full of shit, you might as well pick a struggle and have a goal???? Because seriously, where has her goals gone? What happened to seeing her dad and brother as trash and suddenly go "Uwu they care about meeeee" with one praise and a gift. At least the ML is just a one-track stereotypical dumbfuck asshole (he suffering but he also an asshole, this can co-exist)
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate FL. But it feels like the author didn't know FL's writing direction which makes it hard to read cuz she can be randomly STUPID. The premise is very stereotypical but FL does show some good points in the story that makes you at least interested on how it ends.
But if you've read a ton of these plotlines already, it's not gonna be a fun ride.
