I know this author makes borderline horrific gintama djs but I really gave them the benefit of the doubt with this one. And it WAS going well in the beginning. Everything was pretty consensual until the rape scene.. and the fact that they brushed it off so easily? Why didn't they just beat him up and leave it at that, since everyone acted like all they did was beat him up anyway? That would've gotten the point across. The whole rape part was extremely unnecessary. I was on board with them beating him up because yeah that's what you get for hitting a girl but he did not deserve the rest of what happened to him. This is definitely going to influence some young minds that this is okay and is just something used for revenge, especially since the rapists faced no repercussions whatsoever (they were rewarded, in fact). And the way Yoru was so calm while being in front of the people who literally raped his crush pissed me off. And then the fact that the author tried to make the rapists look like just some silly little guys after that?! dont pmo omg.
