the male lead’s feelings toward the female lead never felt fully genuine to me. A lot of his behavior reads more like emotional dependence and coping rather than real commitment. Even after she asked him not to cheat, he repeatedly failed to respect that boundary or actively work on the relationship. That’s why I struggled to sympathize with him, his actions made it feel like she was never truly his priority, almost like she was a fallback rather than a first choice.
