    Yeah don't just buy animals from the pet store and then release them. Either you gave them a death sentence, or you gave everything else a death sentence.

    Now that would be awesome symbolism, and definitely not unlikely. I just think the goldfish holds the much more simple symbolism that was laid out for us at the start of the story when he killed his goldfish. It was freed from its rotting cage and can live if it fights for it

    Yess!! and do yall remember how in 1st episode je-oh let his pet goldfishes die (unintentionally) but now we saw him freeing one so ig that symbolises his freedom
