Funny how the rapist fans keep calling Ian a "pretty little bird" when their favorite is one of the biggest birds in the entire story.

Ian's choices and actions are actually complex, and his POV throughout the story perfectly contextualizes why he does what he does. He's not a perfect person, and the story never pretends he is, but that's exactly what makes him a well-written flawed character.

Meanwhile, their boy barely has any writing or characterization that reinforces his actions. Most of his role is being a catalyst for other characters and plot developments.

The media literacy crisis is real. A character that actually has realistic flawed human emotion and a work that display how complex relationship are between people which btw Doyak had said before she didn't want a clean story and that she love how character relationship intertwine together and she did just that with her story. Reducing everything to bird, like go do that to jinx.

And realistically let's be honest if Ian wanted Jo back, Jo would probably run back to him in a heartbeat.

Mind you he only knew Ian for a few month and half of the time he spent it by getting ditch by Ian lmfao but kept the photo for 2 years straight. He still petty and hurt as hell cus "that person" when he still remember how they first met clearly...ohh

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! They act like Ian was a bird when Jo was a fucking dinosaur. Mans was ready to ruin his entire life for a situationship where he even confirms he knew was going to eventually end. God forbid they hold their fav accountable for being obsessed and having a savior complex over a man he barely knew. This man learns Ian's real name in season three even that gangsta guy gives him a reality check that he don't mean that much to Ian. They pretend that Jo didn't actively stay ignorant of Ian's questionable behaviour toward him. They're just like him because they were satisfied with Jo being a glorified dildo. Fr tho the media literacy crisis is real these people can't read in first person and understand shit all they do is self insert and that's why they call Ian a bird cz given the chance Jo would call Ian a bird. Just look at their last meeting talking about "are you going back to that guy?" He know full well Ian don't love him so why ask that question when he's literally been dumped? Delusional insecure jealous bird man.

Fr its always rapist ml stans who has lot to say about mc without having a full grasp on
complex emotionally nuanced character and turn this into one-dimensional tropes and then get offended when things don't go the way they interpreted

It's really too bad because I barely see any Jo stan ever interpret Ian character right. They just like Jo and hate that Ian hurt him without ever mentioning how Ian told his ass upfront that he used to be in a gang and so on...even his relative warned him. Ian is by far one of the well written complex character but he just get reduce to a bird by them. It's infuriating and they call TJ toxic which hey he is but then they say shit about TJ being a rapist when he never sexually assaulted Ian like Jo did. I seriously do not get them.
