but, hey !! they live in an apocalyptic world so I GUESS,, this lack of morality slash empathy(?) that gramps has, is quite, realistic..?????? oh yeah, add onto the fact that he's been fighting & killing monsters, fellow humans, and probably otherworldly races, for years while also simultaneously witnessing the countless deaths of his comrades...

also gramp's thought process kinda makes sense if u think of the circumstances he lives in. like, he really cut all his losses bro, he ain't taking anymore chances. bc BRUH if the selfishness of the dark elves caused the destruction of the world—or at least amplified it—the only applicable solution u could really think of if u were gramps while living his life, seeing the same dead bodies, is to kill them all in hopes to never repeat that disaster again.
