i think its in reference to where he was thinking abt his homeland and bringing glory to it while he was with shuraka... it implies the "duty towards his homeland" mindset which is little... uhh yk TT but yeah tei also realised that its actually something more than that in the very next moment so all is well ^^
I understand but it kinda hurts for so many reasons,one of them,is that he thinks he is like his mother,tei i mean,his mother was from a foreign land, brought to lercal after her country was defeated, but i don't think shuraka views him like tei's dad viewed his mother, that's why it's sad

ouu right bc him staying in arnata and for shuraka was always grounded in his "loyalty" towards shuraka and glory for leracal. while the first feeling he felt was accomplishment, in the latter part it was also hinted that one of those feelings he felt or kept his mind occupied was bc of shuraka. so yeah just like the other person said it's a complicated relationship as of now TT i wish for them to be happy and free with expressing their feelings..
