Amon is a dragon not a god, he can’t perform miracles. But the humans are dumb as hell and think he is a god so that’s why they made this whole cult aaa shit, Amon is just going along with it. Amon and main met a long time ago when Amon was finding his mate or soulmate cause every dragon has one. Eventually he finds out Nain is his mate and in turn nain was falling in love with Amon. I forgot the reason why or maybe they just needed a sacrifice for their ‘fox’ but some dumbass humans decided to kill nain and serve him as a sacrifice as an offering to Amon. Amon pissed as hell but also couldn’t understand why nain is dead so he ‘ate’ nain, cradled him in his belly as he killed those humans then eventually ‘gave birth’ to him or probably spat him out (forgive me I’m using the same wording as the earlier chapters) Nain becomes immortal then because of whatever happened in Amon’s body or I forget if it’s a thing that dragons do to their mates if they wanna stay together forever but there’s a thingy where a love between and dragon and a human mate always ends in a tragedy but the dragons can’t help themselves. Maybe it’s cause the humans go mad stuck in such a long life or they couldn’t stand how a dragon processes emotions if they even have any.
So yea something something they end up becoming ‘gods’ over the area since they’re immortals but Amon don’t really gaf he just wants Nain to feel comfy. Nain with his bleeding heart gets attached to every human he shares his love with (platonically if I must emphasise) especially a child that eventually dies and he begs Amon to revive the child since he’s a god but Amon reminds him that he’s not a god like all the humans say, he can’t perform miracles, and Nain mindstate eventually deteriorates.
Those priests(?) they start taking advantage of this situation and convince Amon that Nain needs to get drugged and lose his memories of everything bad so that they can live a long life together. Amon agrees since that’s what he wants, and he thinks this is good for a Nain so Nain won’t feel pain from seeing everyone he loves always die before him. I think that’s also why he’s trying to make Nain feel desensetised from seeing blood and gore by making the humans fight to the death (I could be wrong) so basically Amon is a funky lil dragon who doesn’t understand that you can’t just remove the bad stuffs and hope everything will be okay, instead, it’ll turn Nain into someone who forgets something, then most things, then everything, then actually even his of feelings for Amon. And yea Nain at some point resented Amon but yeet wiped. So that’s why their dynamic is pretty weird at the start of the series like why does Nain feel like his place in Amon’s heart is threatened when literally he is the reason why Amon let the humans do allllll this. Amon is deathly obsessed with him. The harem and stuff? Just bs the priests made for hierarchy and shit Amon dgaf he just let the humans do whatever, his dumbass doesn’t even know how it affects Nain cause he doesn’t care about other humans at all.
NOW GWEN. Why Amon seemed like he interested in Gwen? Cause Gwen STINKY. STINKY OF DRAGON BLOOD. Dragon blood can kill other dragons. I forget if Gwen actually with the purpose of killing Amon with the blood cause I do rmb he only came to this area cause he heard there was a dragon around but idk if he had to kill him?? But yea that’s the extent of their relationship LOL. I don’t think Amon was threatened?? But he probably was like bruh why do u have my homie’s period blood on you but anyways yea sorry I forgor I was crying too much over Nain in the later chapters.
Ending: love angle. All for Nain. Nain love love Gwen a lot. Nain hates Amon’s to bits but it’s either Stockholm syndrome or he just can’t let go of a love he harbored for so long. It’s like the version of his with and without his memories are fighting inside him.
