At first, it may seem the MC is pathetic and too weak but I swr he isn't actually like that. He's only vulnerable towards the ML for a certain reason. I dropped it for a bit too bcs I got annoyed at the both of them but I continued on reading bcs the setting of the story js seemed so interesting that I couldn't ignore it. The plot is surprisingly amazing and easy to follow, I like how the MC doesn't get pushed around by others. He's an amazingly kind person who's not naive, his only weakness is that he depends a lot on his vassals and esp the ML. But he's not actually that frustrating, he knows how to handle difficult situations, and the way he overcame his trauma was simple but neat.
Although the smut at first is dubcon, it isnt actually that horrible. He's not continuously raped or smth, in fact the smut ends like every 2 chaps bcs it's focused on the plot. The problem between the MC and ML isnt that dragged on at all, matter of fact that shit was like a damn breeze and I was relieved at how they solved their situation. I like how the plot flows and the relationship between the MC and the ML
