Im reading officials so I only know what’s happening from chap 30 and down, but cheol is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. The distrust he feels when for the first time in his life hes been shown kindness by someone aside from his uncle, and desperately trying to dismiss it yet still wanting to minyoung to love him. He cant understand any of minyoungs actions so tries to justify things in a self deprecating manner. He wants to heal he wants to move on but even in present time he simply cant. He’ll run and hide until hes found then be distraught over the emotions coming back to the surface. Hes never been loved without ulterior motive. His uncle wanted a child yet couldn’t, and minyoungs love was harsh and twisted. It’s no wonder he ended up so fucked up. Someone who’s never felt comfort cant simply pretend and learn from something they never knew. Anyway i love cheol
