Yes there are times in the story where Chase can be dumb or take long to realize things when it can be obvious, but then again I thought about it and we’re readers so we obviously see clearer what Chase is missing.. but if we think about it it’s also not like Joshua also been VERY obvious about these things… the only obvious thing is the scar but Joshua covered up his scar and told Chase it’s from something else .. and obviously Chase just came back from getting kidnapped and all kinds of stuff since last he saw that scar on Joshua’s body so he obviously isn’t even thinking of that right now and is still processing all of this, and Joshua is still clearly obviously hiding stuff hence he still hasn’t explained anything in detail to Chase. Chase only just FOUND on literally JUST found out that he’s an omega and saw Joshua’s ear marked but how can Chase put two and two together when Joshua isn’t being direct and Chase doesn’t even have memory of Joshua the first time they’ve slept?
My point is Chase has to walk through all their encounters to put two-and-two together, these subtle hints Joshua has left about his feelings for Chase and sleeping with him yeah we caught on because we’re the readers but Chase has no memory of Joshua from that night so obviously he wouldn’t catch on.. also if you reread pass chapters when Chase asked Joshua things about the scar or respond based off the subtle “hints” Joshua gave, Joshua just hid it or covered it up, so I feel like Joshua is also a big reason why Chase may not be catching on to these things instantly although Joshua can be obvious sometimes and that’s why I said Chase can be a little dumb in that sense because he still asks questions or the same thing after Joshua makes some feelings already clear but that’s it. They need to have a proper conversation and communicate better than just sleeping with eo chapter to chapter. I still love them though!!
